64GB Samsung Galaxy S III not canceled, set for release later this year

We had all but forgotten about it, but the 64GB version of the Galaxy S III is alive and well. We heard a few reports yesterday that the high-capacity variant was canceled – the source of the news was a notice on a retailer’s website that marked the phone as discontinued – but Samsung has confirmed to us that the phone is still in the works and is on track for a release sometime in the second half of this year.
